Speculative Fiction

I recently began writing speculative fiction, and my flash fiction/short story, “High Water,” is published in New Edge Sword & Sorcery (no. 3, Summer 2024).

Game Design

As a tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) designer and writer, I specialize in religion, esotericism, and mythography in world-building and storytelling. I have written over twenty-five years’ experience writing professionally for game publishers. My most recent work has been for Ulisses Spiele and Helmgast AB, but I have also written for TSR, White Wolf Game Studio, Holistic Design, Inc. (HDI), and West End Games.

Religion & World Building

Representation of the numinous — the sacred, the holy, however you name it — and its role in culture can play an important role in fantasy and speculative fiction, and I draw on historical belief systems and practices in my writing and design.
